Feedback From our Graduate Students
Life Coaching Institute of America (LCIA) receives a lot of calls that we answer within 24-48 hours! Yes, a real engagement. Many of the calls are inquiring about what differentiates LCIA from other Coach Training Programs. A big question to say the least. So, we decided to share with you some of the feedback from our graduate students.
LCIA often receives feedback that students:
- Appreciate the small class size. They reflected that they felt they received individualized education and focus. LCIA does not exceed 12 students per class. This ensures the specialized focus needed for experiential learning.
- The level of interaction and dialogue between trainers and students. LCIA ensures that all learning objectives will be met, and LCIA allows for a fluid learning experience.
- Coaching is modeled throughout the coach training sessions. This is demonstrated by respecting ICF Ethics, Core Competencies and the model of Motivational Interviewing. LCIA exemplifies the coaching conversation.
- The application of basic Motivational Interviewing communication strategies that support the ICF Ethics and Core Competencies. Learning to listen well and follow and focus on change talk.
- Time is provided for actual coaching sessions as either coach, client or observer. Feedback is provided by the trainers to the student coaches if given permission by the student coach. It is the objective of LCIA to fully prepare our coaches for excellence.
- The professional long-term level of engagement of trainers and students, even after graduation/completion of course work.
- Coach training was a life changing experience. The impact was far beyond coach training. It opened a new style of communication.
So, just a few things that our graduate students have shared with LCIA about what sets us apart. We sincerely care about the well-being and professional development of our coach students ~ since our inception in 2012.
